I had never heard this.
The only time my mum would do this was if she had to get out the house quickly,an emergency or such.Maybe she knew they were coming ?
If a woman had time, would she not remove the nighty before putting a dress on.
Oh my mum also used to put a jacket over her night cloths if she had to go into the garden quickly to rescue the cat.
Any use ?

If she had and it was to get money, would the cops not have spotted this.
Does it look as if she was getting ready to go or had just been ?
Something was going on ?
Thor
Thanks for the help !

Also from my classes I took in criminal justice in college....the first thing cops look for are patterns of behavior.
Lottsapoppa/B Crowe-Known to family member(s)
Hinman- known to family
Cielo residents- I believe but cannot prove they knew or had dealings w/ at least one of the men there, definitely knew people who knew people there
Shorty Shea- definitely known to family,
Zero- fringe member of family
death of 2 scientology students- didnt the girl used to date Bruce?
Joel Pugh- connection w/ Sandy
Jane Doe- seen at Spahn by Ruby Pearl knew her to be named Sherry
Even though the last couple are not 100% proven to be the handiwork of the Family, you get the picture
LaBianca's, Random?.....I dont think so, there are reasons that over 90% of murder victims are known to the killer(s)
Too..if you've seen Suzan LaBerge interviews, parole hearings.....if she didnt know Tex why the hell would you go through all the shennanigans to get him out, forgive him, etc?

Charlie says it himself in the Emmons book. Rosemary was frightened awake by CM and was modestly trying to cover herself. So he told her to put something on over the nightgown.

One can only imagine how vulnerable she must have felt, waking up alone in bed with this creepy stranger in her room. And sick as it sounds to say CM wanted to make his victim feel safe and comfortable the incident does jibe with his "don't let them know you're going to kill them" philosophy for the second night of murder.

Maybe Rosemary went to collect the contents of the safe at Gateway Mkt. Someone had removed the contents before police arrived. Maybe the black book was in there.
Tin foil hat time. . . . .
