    No mention of gunshot wounds??
Weren't they part of the cause of death??

His age is wrong too.  If he was born in Dec. of 1936, he would've been 32, not 33. He died a few months before his 33rd birthday.

I wondered about that too.  I have to assume that they only listed the actual cause of death, because you could also add blunt force trauma from all the blows to the head from the gun butt.
He was stabbed 51 times wasn't he?  I think that would cause massive hemmorage.
You're the closest thing we have to a coroner, are all injuries listed in cause of death?

Then they should list exsanguination, right?

Who knows?! ???  That was listed as Jay's cause of death, but if you look at his death certificate, it doesn't mention that he was shot, only the stab wounds.  Maybe they only listed the things that were fatal wounds? ???

Supposedly the gunshot that entered Sebring's armpit was fatal!

That's what they put for Sebring.

If you look at this definition, it seems to mean the same thing.

Class IV Hemorrhage involves loss of >40% of circulating blood volume. The limit of the body's compensation is reached and aggressive resuscitation is required to prevent death.

I don't claim to be a medical expert.  Maybe one person's "massive hemmorrhage" is another's "exsanguination."  ???

Exsanguination is total blood loss. The body is drained. Minimal lividity.
In this case, it could be the result of the body being moved after death. Thus allowing blood to escape that might otherwise have pooled within the body.

I know, but if you look, it's pretty close.  In this case, they're both going to have the result as death.

OH Yes!  Deader than the proverbial doornail.
But the total loss of blood in the case of Sharon Tate and Sebring was created by moving the bodies postmortem.
So it wasn't actually the cause of death but a by product of.

I noticed that all of the death certificates say that they're page 1 of 2.  Is page 2 available for all of them?

The LA Co. M.E. Office seems to have have some questions about what to put in that space ::)
The stabbings, bludgeonings and shootings all could have caused death. In some cases, like Sharon Tate, a knife wound in the chest did so much damage that it was the cause but others bled to death for lack of medical attention.
    So U get to choose!
