    Dunno, according to the Doyle polygraph he was quite the strong dude. And Rinehart said that he was equally as strong, and had massive strength. So perhaps the fact that he had this reputation,the fact that he hung around the crowd, and he is the one who located the box of drugs for the cops at Cielo (see the property reports) could have lead the cops to the belief that he was more of a suspect than a helpful citizen  8)
