Was there a serial Killie operating at the time? Except for Joel and possibly some kids who came by Spahn or Barker and 'knew too much' about the dune buggy operation, (as did Shorty Sheas) then who killed these girls. The MO just doesn't fit anyone but Tex Watson and/or Bruce Davis. But for most of these murders, he was in jail, correct? Do you all suspect it was Brice Davis? There is something about his face that just creeps me out - even more so than Watson. Did he turn himself in after the these girls were killed? One thing that has puzzled me is why Nancy and Bruce decided to get married. Was it because they couldn't testify against one another if Bruce was indited for murder. Could Nancy have been in the car when these girls were taken? That would certainly have made the girls feel more comfortable about going with them.
well there were a lot of unexplained killings, and the Zodiac, and over the years so many overlapping theories and so many lines drawn by possibly overzealous investigators that at this point no one's ever going to figure out. Did Marina Habe meet Tex in Hawaii? Did she visit the ranch? When exactly did Tex leave the ranch to live with Luella, or when exactly was Bruce in England or in LA? Doreen Gaul, did she really date Davis? I've even read she was in the Family for a time, killed a couple of weeks after Zero's accident. Again, I think Tex was back in Texas by then, and not sure where Bruce was.

[/quote] It depends on whether you think these are questions. If there is no evidence whatsoever - direct, prima facie or circumstantial - to support a theory then what's the point of even considering it. It goes back to the value of primary sources. The Internet is so unhelpful here since all it does is recycle the same weary speculation, embellishing it a little bit more each time, until finally by dint of repetition people begin to accept it as fact. Hey, I'm supposed to be at work right now Jem
I've heard the word Hawaii so many times crop up in this case. Not being from the West Coast iI have a question? Is it like Jamaica or the other islands for us - close enough to be a quick and flight affordable vacation spot? Or was there someone important to the case im Hawaii? Somehow i just don't see this group goiing on vacation Or were they going to see a specific person. Am I correct that Watson says in his book he to Hawaii before he came back to the family fold after the murders? So what kind of research would enlighten this matter - (odd the detectives were traveling to DC, Jamaica etc and yet not to Hawaii) -
Well, for Tex, the story goes he worked at Braniff Airlines as a baggage handler, and got free flights and would fly to Hawaii a lot, but I believe that was all before he was in California. After the murders, when Tex went back to Texas, he went to Hawaii, then back to California, and then back to Texas again. Then Barbara Hoyt was taken to Hawaii, Dennis Rice bought the tickets for her and Moorehouse. Does seem odd, for a bunch of people eating out of dumpsters to be so familiar Hawaii.
