She was supposed to come into work today with my friend and co-worker Marty but she is on a mission to  find a missing pregnant lady from Akron.

Godspeed to Maggie, Marty and the search team. My thoughts are with the missing woman and her family.

Just one of the many stories on the search:

UPDATE Day 2: The Search For Jessie Davis Continues
    6/22/2007 8:41:17 AM  |  Tina Kaufmann

It's now nine days since the pregnant mother has been missing. Thursday didn't turn up any clues and search teams are hoping today will shed some kind of light on what happened to Jessie Marie Davis.

Searchers are back on the streets, hoping to find any leads as to what happened last Wednesday, June 13, when Jessie Davis went missing. Anyone wanting to help can go to the Greentown Volunteer Fire Department at 10100 Cleveland Avenue NW. Any time you can give the family says will help.

Thursday, when searchers with EquuSearch went out to look for the missing woman, the stumbled upon a fresh pile of dirt. Investigators roped off the area on Aultman Road, about a mile away from Davis' home. The mound turned out to be a marijuana patch.

Now, friends, family, young ones, people from all over and of all ages are out, with optimism, that they'll crack the case and Jessie Davis will be found.

    THE PRESS CONFERENCE THURSDAY

"No comment..." seemed to fill the room at the Stark County Sheriff's Department during a Thursday news conference. In fear of botching the investigation, Stark County Sheriff's Lt. Rick Perez declined to say much as reporters questioned him about the search, phone records and possible suspects, saying only that there are "associates" of Jessie's they've either talked to or are talking to currently. Again, when asked if Bobby Cutts Jr. was a suspect or if he was cooperating, Lt. Perez said, he's an associate of Jessie's and that they are talking with him and others who know her..."He's not a suspect."

At the press conference yesterday, the Stark County Sheriff's Department did say Cutts Jr. did not go to work on the night Davis disappeared. He also didn't go in Thursday. He works the midnight shift. Now, he's on paid administrative leave, given the intensity of the situation.

WHERE WAS CUTTS JR. WHEN JESSIE DAVIS DISAPPEARED?

Champs Sports Bar & Grille in Canton did confirm Cutts Jr. was at the business the night Davis went missing. An employee told AkronNewsNow that Cutts Jr. came in after a softball game, sat down, had a few drinks, ate and left. The employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he arrived at the bar between 8:30-9:00 p.m. and was there for approximately two to three hours. Also, that the FBI came to Champs and questioned employees and possibly others on the softball team. Furthermore, the employee told AkronNewsNow that Cutts Jr. did not appear to be troubled.

The owner of that bar is Lee Giavasis, Cutts Jr.'s former girlfriend, Nikki Giavasis' brother.

i hope they find her but it's not looking good after this long without a trace.

That Cutts Jr guy is an interesting character...  I don't really think he's involved... it's just interesting the way he relates to women... he must be pretty smooth.

I mean he had a 2 year old kid with this woman, just got separated from his wife six months ago, 3 months after getting his girlfriend pregnant.. and apparently is still on good terms with his wife somehow.  Not a lot of guys could pull that off.  Then his alibi is he was at a bar owned by another former girlfriend.

I know none of that has anything to do with the case, I'm just sticking to the lighter side 'cause i just don't want to think about what might've happened.

They sent Maggie and the others home and brought in the Feds and their dogs.

it doesnt look good at all.

Maggie is tired and at home resting after a few days of looking. She reinjured her leg, and kept at the search though.

I just spoke to Marty, and he says there is a video clip with him and Maggie in it that was on Good morning America.

I can not find the link to the vid from yesterday---he says he and Maggie are about the one minute mark.

    Can someone find it?
