Does anyone have any information on what happened to the bus. From the photos i've seen, it wa at Barker and then theres nothing. Any answers
yep thats something i have also thought about ???? it was in some pics and there after they were all arested.... and i remember seeing or reading somewhere that there was a rusty old bus up at death vally , but not sure if that was a manson bus or just dumped there later..... or it may have b een a spare parts for the manson bus ?
I don't know if this is accurate but apparently the people around Barker Ranch got together and either dismantled the bus and set fire to it or set fire to it and then dismantled it... there is supposed to be some pieces of the bus lying around but they are not very big and they are few in number.
I remember a similar story where the locals blew it up and threw most of the pieces in a mine shaft. In Six Degrees of Helter Skelter our tour guide looks for it but only finds pieces that "may" have been parts of the bus. After 40 years I don't think any remains would be left sitting on top of the ground in Golar Wash. He did find Tex's truck half buried in the sand so maybe it's possible parts of the bus are still there.
