The slashed tire indicates (to me at least) that the killer was stalking her or at the very least saw her go into the store and slashed the tire. Sounds like a possible Bundy MO. Maybe she was one of his California victims. FB
i thought it sounded like bundy as well. i live in portland and there were murders during that time all along the interstate 5 corridor.
brudos was in the late 60's and early 70's. i remember he got a girl at the lloyd center parking lot by what was then the meier and frank depatment store and he tried to get a girl at the portland state university parking structure. his first victim was a young woman selling encyclopedia's in the area of hawthorne blvd.
Cindy Mellin's case received some recent press. There has been a tenuous connection made between her disappearance and the Zodiac Killer. In this video an early suspect in Cindy's case is revealed, he was a man named Edward Nelson Cole aka Sam Roper. Apparently law enforcement totally lost track of this guy after he was interviewed early on in the case.
