Hi, I'm new here and I think this forum is about as good as it could get. I tend to read alot of the posts and everybody seems very educated on the subject at hand. More than elsewhere. Anyways, I've read HS, The Family, 5 to Die, ......and so on. I've been to alot of the places mentioned in these books and am trying to locate where Sandra lived in Point Loma. I live in San Diego County and Point Loma is 15 min. from my home and I go through there often. My question is, does anybody here know what her childhood home address might of been? Is there a picture of it out there somewhere? Also, before the murders Manson had picked up Schram and was at her sister's (or cousin) in Jamul. Jamul is 15 min. in the other direction from my home. If there is any info as to the address of this place, I'd love to find it. Jamul is some what rural nowdays and in 1969 there couldn't of been more than a handfull of homes out there. I take pictures of the places and would post them if found. Ken
Welcome to the forum kbt. I can't answer your questions but wanted to welcome you. Yes, some of the people in this forum are amazingly informed. There is much to be learned here. I look forward to your future posts. Freebird
We'll I haven't found Sandy's childhood home but....... after alot of research, I have found the home that Stephanie Schram is living in TODAY and where she works. She still is a "East County Girl" (you got to live here to understand what that means). anyways, I have taken a picture of the house and of the place that I am 99% sure where she works. I'd like to share them but would like to ask what everybody thinks about doing so. I have blurred out any identifiable phone #'s, license plates, name of dog grooming shop and locations. I don't think it would be "outing" her or giving any info for people to be able to find her or to contact her. Out of respect, what do you guys think or does anybody really care to see them?
I think you'll find that Stephanie and other members of her family visit here, and they may not be too appreciative. We have to careful that we are not playing with other people's lives. Stephanie has been convicted of no offense and has a right to her privacy - even mention of the kind of work location is a violation of those rights. I work a lot with family history and I always obey the 105 years rule - for people born after 1905 I give out and publish no personal data. For convicted felons it's different, but to the best of my knowledge Stephanie is not a convicted felon. This is a respectable site and I don't think that information would be welcome here. Cats and Mike can ratify or rectify this opinion of mine. Jem
Welcome Ken. Though, part of me would love to see this stuff, the other part of me says no. For the plain reason that I wouldnt want my info and pictures to be out there like that.I want to know she did okay, but I have to go with No on the posting of the stuff. But welcome and I look forward to your posts.
Ken, I'm a (somewhat removed) San Diego girl, myself, and have always been curious about where Sandra lived. (Until your post, I didn't even know that Point Loma was where she grew up!) Thanks for posting the question. And you're right: this is by far the best forum on this subject.
I tend to agree with you there cats. I would love to hear her side of the time she spent with the family... but not where she lives and works as of today. there are to many nutters out there who would turn up at her door , and she did no wrong and does deserve her privacy. cheers cats.
