In the other thread I posted info about the disappearance of Cynthia May Hernandez who vanished a year later after Mona Jean Gallegos. Gallegos was from Covina the same city Hernandez disappeared from and detectives were able to lift prints from her car after she vanished from the Fox Twin Theaters in Covina. In 1993 detectives reviewed the case and believe Manuel Trinidad Cortez may have been the culprit. He was active in the area and admitted to kidnapping a 16 year girl in California in 1977. He is currently in a Oregon state prison for the murder of two girls. Unfortunately nothing else is said of the finger prints lifted from Hernandez's car, are they from Cortez? It's a long shot but since Alcala is already ruled out in the Gallegos case it's worth looking at Cortez.
