Okay, we have Steve saying he and Tex took Shorty for a ride under the guise of getting some parts to return. Tex gets out of the car,Steve after some hestitation whomps Shorty on the head. Shorty being stunned leaves the car. Steve has to reach over the seat and throw the car in gear, so he misses out on exactly who did what to Shorty before he got over the hill. We have Bruce saying he stabbed Shorty when he was already almost or possibly dead. No one mentions what Manson did. Davis and Manson just appear in this spot to help with Shorty's demise. Tex is there, but never charged. We have all people that took part in the killing and that were charged (Grogan, Davis) saying this happened in the morning,but yet Barbara Hoyt is so convinced, and still to this day, goes to hearings and says it was at night. Lets say, Barbara did hear screaming but it wasnt Shorty then, who was it? Bruce says in his latest hearing that she is definetely wrong about the time of death of Shorty but he is saying she probably did hear something. So, how did SHorty get over the hill and stabbed?
I remember hearing or reading that Shorty was moved and buried later. Also, Bill Vance was supposed to have been present.
I read that in I think Gorightly's book. I am still trying to find more info on Vance. He is one of the mystery people. He took Ella away, and then came back. It appears as if he was with TJ and the Rice kids when arrested at the chicken coop thing where the kids were taken back to their Mom.
I've been trying for a long time to find out what happened to Vance & Larry Bailey. They seem to have fallen off the earth sometime in the early 70s.
Was Bailey involved in Hawthorne? Lovett seems to have gone to jail and then vanished. Lovett joined after Tate LaBianca, didn't he?
Okay. Wasn't Bailey the one who also Manson wouldn't let is stuff to closely because of his features?
Manson thought tha Bailey had "negroid features". He also referred to him as "the drippings from a white man's d#%k."
So why would someone that CM treated with such contempt be involved in a plot to get weapons to set him free? Believe me, I know how stupid men can be over girls but that is a very high price to pay for a piece of tail.
There doesn't "appear" to be any relation, but stranger things have come to light in this case. Jeez, I sound like Clogger. I need someone to argue with.
