LOL-do I have to take your car keys so you can't search??? And who helped Clem bury the body - which girls?
LOL it's all fun and games til somebody gets the knives out. weird how all these trials nobody asks all the questions that need answers. I know they don't need to ask them who the girls are to convict Clem, and that's the whole goal of the question, but it sure would be nice to figure out who did what.
And there must have been only five attorneys in LA at that time: Daye Shinn represented a few of them. Paul Caruso-who represented Tom Harrigan, suspect, and Sadie Mae at points.. Ronald Hughes, who never did a murder trial, represented Manson and VanHouten. It is crazy.
It was all public defenders right? Manson fired a couple of attorneys too. Did Charlene Cafritz ever actually give money to pay for the defense?
Cafritz is said to have given money-weird,and places have her living in poverty after the divorce from Carter Cafrtiz...and others say she got horses and a regular monthly payment.. And if she got horse, where did she stable them, and perhaps, she crossed paths with Debbie tate? I think they were all Public Pretenders..but I would think it would be a conflict of interest...but then it is just me, lol..
about horses, sorry but seems every time something leads to a whole different place. Charlene supposedly gave Charlie some thoroughbreds, which he then gave away. So not only was Sharon into horseback riding, but Leno owned some thoroughbreds, and then there is the horse business at Spahn ranch, so who got those free horses?
And Carter was cut from the Cafritz's will I do believe. It is weird how all these TLB lives get entangled.
I guess to make people scared...I just remember Paul in that Manson movie going his head went "bloop, bloop, bloop"..and it was kind of sickening.
I think Gypsy & Mary Brunner were at least involved in getting rid of Shorty's car & some of his other belongings. As to who helped bury him, Clem said he went back at night and buried Shorty, but didn't name anyone else.
Somewhere I vaguely remember reading that everyone had a hand in Shorty's burial-that the men stood around smoking pot while the women buried him. Bruce's prints were found on his box in the the car. Weirdly enough, or maybe not so weird, Brooks Poston testified that Shorty was taking porn pictures with the cameras he had. I think they are the cameras that were pawned or stolen or what have you. I do not know how true this is, but it came out in Brooks' testimony. (which I am slowly but surely putting up).
Anyone notice the date on the first story? It says the conversation between Watkins and Grogan took place on Aug 7. If I remember right, Shea was killed about a week after the Aug 16 raid.
