What is the general consensus of opinion about the stories by various people that there were other killings out in Death Valley? I've read about the searches and the fact that a certain 'WR''s opinion can't be trusted but i can imagine, given the vastness and inhospitable area, and the shear heightened sense of paranoia prevailing the family at hat time after TLB, that certain fringe hangers on or new runaways could have been silenced to stop them talking or asking questions.

Sadie said, for what its worth, that there are people out there they will never find!!!

It wouldn't surprise me but i hope she was just boasting or lying

Go to the Colonel's blog, Billy - he has posted an interesting old article that tells about more crimes than we have talked about.

There is a theory in fundamental Christianity that the portals of hell can be leased.  Then terror reigns.  I swear that seems like a time in history that those portals were wide open.

Sheesh Courtney, I'm busting my back to attract more people to this site and you're chasing them someplace else.  Are you wanting to drive me postal, or what?

Billy, I think there is a likely chance there were a lot more deaths than we know about.  Somehow, I don't see Manson's rag-tag lot being all that interested in digging proper graves for anyone.  Which means wild animals probably had a chance to destroy any evidence that may have been there.

The fact that there are more that may be out there may also explain why the Family, including those incarcerated and those not, have been less than candid, IMO, regarding the real story behind the Hinman-TLB-Shea killings.  If one of them starts to talk, the others might (a) be in jeopardy and (b) implicate the speaker in (further) crimes with all the negative ramifications that would have for a free or imprisoned person.

Well those several posts did sound like an advertisement for 'the other site' (I'm just trying to butter up the Colonel, Mike so he can help my career) 0:)

Sometimes when I see the names (people just reading who don't post) and then add the number of guests - WOW - you've got your hands full -

I did have an idea, Mike - remember in the old days you could push a site forward on the net by the traffic?  With the 40th Anniversary next month coming - would there be a way to have this site come quickly if the name Sharon Tate was used as a keyword?  I see things advertised on people's blogs - is there someway to advertise on say TMZ or Perez Hilton without it costing an arm and leg?

Cats has gotten such great stuff THAT SHE HAS HAD TO BUY EVERYONE SO IF YOU WANT TO HELP - SEND HER MONEY AS THE TRANSCRIPTS ARE LIKE 20.000 PAGES and she tells me there is more to come-

The Colonel is sweet on Cats anyway- (it doesn't hurt that Cat's is good looking!)

"Compounding this lack of concern for potential victims was my discovery of a hand written "help" note left behind by a possible hostage. After our trip, with members of the Family to their Death Valley hideout, Craig and I alone, later made another trip to Barker's, but this time with a dune buggy up the more difficult Golar Wash canyon. The other difference was, this time, the scorching desert heat was fast approaching. Also, this time we could do some investigating on our own, without the watchful eyes of the Manson Family. Strange as it seems now, there are only two things I remember about the abandoned Ranch from that trip.

After entering an old out building, (can be seen as Gypsy points it out in the new Manson Gang film) I found a piece of paper with handwriting on it. I took it back outside and read it. It was a note, apparently written by a daughter in hopes that it may find its way home to her mother. Somewhat desperate in its tone, I realized that the game of making a movie about the Manson Gang, wasn't a game anymore. Many thoughts were now crossing my mind, as Craig and I had a bite to eat. Also exhausted, after lunch we decided to take a nap on the ranch house front porch.

It must have been a hour or so later, when we awoke to the most God awful smell that anyone could possibly have imagined. The next thing we realized, was that it must have been at least 120 degrees, and we were in the shade. I'm sure that the troubling note found earlier had played some tricks on my mind, but without any question, we understood that the horrible smell could only be coming from a dead body. Craig quickly fired up the dune buggy and I, almost in a panic mode, returned the note to its original resting place. With breakneck speed two young filmmakers got the Hell out of there.

Considering many previous events, I eventually consulted with an attorney, who strongly suggested that he should contact Vincent Bugliosi. I sat there as he made a phone call to the prosecutor who, at that time, made it clear that he was not interested in seeing my film or even talking with me. Maybe now, the recent events concerning the infamous Barker Ranch could help trigger investigations relating to the thousands of missing teenagers of the wild and crazy 60's."

This is on Robert Hendrickson's site exclusivefilms.com. I would say for sure there were other deaths especially at Barker's Ranch.
