My pleasure. You're very welcome. Marc Damion = Marcus John Arneson Ella Sinder = Ella Jo Bailey What about Susan Scott? Real? Or fake name? I don't remember hearing of her or the name before. Pat used the last name Scott at the raid, right? Could it be her? Or was it too early?
It would be intereting to know how many times Charlie was arrested or cited for violations between March 67 and his final arrest at Barker Ranch. The guy couldn't walk out the door without being arrested. Who in their right mind would hang with this type of goof up?
What happened to Stephanie Rowe, did she bale out when the killings started or before? I read Ella Jo Bailey got out when she heard about the Hinman murder, did a few slip off when things started turning to the 'dark side'?
Great Flora - they didn't have the sense to get into the bus where it was warmer? And what's this about the nudity - every time you turn around you find these people coming out of bushes etc. nude - that certainly doesn't show a lot of common sense - not from a moral standpoint but being exposed to the elements.
Yet another parole violation that Charlie seemed to shrug off like nothing. Today he'd be back in the joint before he could say "Cease to Exist"
It looks to be at least nine times: http://www.charliemanson.com/documents/drbc-2.htm
Wasn't Charlie arrested with Stephanie Scrahm at the ranch but charges dropped? But anyways it means about every 4 mos Charlie is mixed up with the cops. Just looking at that statistic it doesn't sound like Charlie is making a good transition to law abiding citizen. That's too many run ins to be just accidental.
I think the word 'nude' is often a very flexible one - encompassing genuine nudity but also topless, lingerie and any other form of being skimpily clad. For example, there's a film called 'Calendar Girls' that is promoted through the concept of nudity but the ladies are on the whole protected from lecherous eyes by strategically placed furniture and ornaments. And if you try to Google 'nude celebrities' (someone in my household seems to do this kind of search frequently) you'll get plenty of partially clad subjects. The girls at Spahn and in DV were probably comfortable in shorts or knickers, and, being as many seem to have been small-breasted, were probably comfortable enough to go braless and often topless. They are said to have had sex frequently, often in semi-public, and sex is probably more comfortable naked. And the weather would have encouraged minimum dress. All this might be enough to earn them the reputation of living in the 'nude'. My 10 pesos. Jem

Most dangerous man alive? Only to himself, it would seem.
To me the most disturbing point about this article was the disregard for Michael's care. (I assume 'Steven' is 3 week old Pooh Bear.) Sadly, it's not surprising with this bunch. I'm glad he survived and turned out well. The other point I've always wondered about: with all of these arrests, why on earth wasn't Charlie sent back to prison long before TLB? ???
Same here - it's no wonder that Michael cherishes his grandparent's and refers to Mary as the grandmother of his children. Isn't it wonderful that little Zezo was adopted by a normal family and that Ivan who was turned upside down and shaken by Clem Tufts was luckily given to someone else to raise since his mother had to save sequoias and such (much more important) The sadest ones are the Rice children in the shed - they were old enough to remember a lot - And Jem, nude is nude is nude - 'nekkid' that is I would think - semi-nude is semi-nude - Gross anyway you look at it - with all those sores and scabs and lack of hygiene they couldn't have been attractive.
No sorry you are right - partial nudity or frontal nuditity (always wondered what would be worn in the back) is not on the legal definaition of nude but the historical -
I believe this incident is referred to as only Mary in a ditch feeding Michael in one of the books...the Sanders sticks in mind. It is just odd that Roger Smith, who did work at the Haight and with government grants, got custody of Michael at some point and then he was retrieved by some of the Family members....someone refresh me as to whom.. Then, Roger Smith was replaced by Samuel Barrett as the parole officer...which I know happens alot, but the timing of it all seems odd and somewhat frustrating.
Does anyone know, was this the black bus Sadie Mae Glutz said they painted with some paint that was given to them. The reason I asked is the bus at Barker Ranch was Green and White. Also does anyone know the identity of this buses real owner?
