1) In 1967 on Gresham Street, she observed a fist fight between Shorty and Charlie. a) Shorty had a black eye. 2) On another occasion Shorty, Randy Starr and another person chased Manson and two others out of her house at rifle point (after Manson had forced his way in) 3) Shorty loved his matched set of Colt .45's a) Shorty took these guns everywhere with him in his briefcase. b) He had the outside of the briefcase inscribed "Reverend Donald Shea". 4) Shorty was tremendously excited about his upcoming movie. 5) Shorty told her that he and Charlie had a fight because Manson insulted his wife Nilsi. a) Manson threatened to kill Shorty during the fight after Shorty knocked Manson down. 6) She can ID the blade of Shorty's bowie knife (which is in evidence) 7) She overheard Clem confess to killing Shorty in March of 1970 a) Clem said while they were cutting his head off they were also jacking him off. b) Clem made this confeession to Elizabeth Moreland. c) Liz said, "So, that's what happened to Shorty?" Clem said, " Well, of course." 8 ) She has not heard from Shorty since the first part of August 1969. (which is unusual).
The Yellow Submarine on Gresham. One problem, Charlie didn't have the place on Gresham until 68. Supposedly Shea knew both Abigail Folger and Manson in San Francisco in 67.
