Wow, interesting! Why did he plead guilty all of a sudden? My first thought was, being known in prison for chopping a dude's head off would get him more respect than being known as a baby-killer (pregnant Sharon Tate). What other reasons could there be? I'm not too up on the details of the case. Was he protecting Grogan and Davis? Or did they go down before him for it? "I'll admit, I chopped his head off" is a great line, as morbid as it is. I wish there was video of him saying this. I want to see exactly how he said it and the reaction.
There is no proof that Manson told Davis to do anything. If you read the parole reports of Davis and Grogan, they both admit they can't be sure they even saw Manson cut Shea.Unfortunatley with Bretts site gone,I don't know if those parole hearings are available, unless this site has them. JB
We do have them. On the Davis and Grogan boards under parole hearings. We also have Bobby's 1985 hearing as well as some of the others.
