Our dear Maggie passed on at 8:15 this morning with the grace and dignity she deserved. Will have words from Marty later, but have a great sorrow in my heart for him and Jeanne and Paddy, Maggie's cohort in crime. RIP Maggie. You will be missed.
Cats, I am so sorry for your loss of a dear friend! At our house, animals are our friends and are very important in our lives!!! These search & rescue dogs do wonderful work and are very important when called upon to do their work! I am very saddened by Maggies passing....... I have been through the loss of many pets and it is like loosing a family member... Please know that my thoughts & prayers are w/ Maggie's family & friends!
So sorry to hear this, Cats. I have an aged dog right now who can't be with me for many more summers and I've been bracing myself to lose him for some time. Still you're never ready when the moment arrives. I just noticed this thread. My deepest sympathy to all who mourn the loss of Maggie. I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet. I took my dog to get spayed a few years ago and they killed her by giving her too much anesthesia (that's our guess anyway) They didn't even apologize or anything. I do have another dog now, but one doesn't replace the other. I dearly love the one I have now, but I will always miss the one I lost so tragically.
