For my friends Georgia Peach and Bottled Brunette I offer the following guide to getting images into your posts. I hope it works for you Jem :smashpc: I'm assuming you have a picture you want to post, and know where it is. Then follow the stages below, in the order given. 1. First left click HERE to learn how to create a Photobucket account 2. Open your Photobucket account and you will see a big button that says “upload images and videos”. Left click on it. 3. You will find yourself in the directory of your own computer. Browse around until you find the file you want to upload. For pictures it’s probably best if the extension (letters at the end) is .jpg. 4. When you select the picture you want to send to Photobucket you should then left click on a button that says ‘send’ (or something similar, depending on your computer). 5. You will see the file begin to upload and will be told when it has finished. 6. You will now see the picture you have uploaded and (if you want to) you can add a title, some words of description and some tags. You don’t have to do any of this. When you are ready, left click on the button that says ‘save’. 7. You will now see the picture you have just uploaded in an album. If you have more than one picture in the album it will be the first picture in the list. Hover your mouse over the picture without clicking. 8. Below the picture you will now see some information. Hover the cursor over where it says ‘HTMLCode’ and right click – select ‘copy’. This works with Macs or PCs – if your Mac doesn’t have right click use ctrl + click. 9. Your link is now on the clipboard. Go now to the ToTLB forum and find a place where you want to post the picture in a reply. 10. Above the area where you type or paste your text are some symbols. Find the yellow smiley, drop down one row and one image to the left – you’ll see a little picture. Put your cursor in the text at the place where you want the photo to appear (it’s a good idea to leave a blank line (return key) above and below the picture) and left click on the little picture icon. 11. A small window will appear. Put the cursor in the little window and right click (or ctrl click on a Mac) and select 'paste'. 12. Under where you pasted the link you will see the word ‘OK’. Left click on these words. 13. Now scroll down the page and left click on ‘preview post’. You can check here that the picture was posted correctly – look at the preview at the top of the page. If you’re not happy, just scroll down to the draft text which is still there and try again. 14. When you’re happy with the way it looks left click on ‘add reply’. 15. Have a beer. Or if you’re me, have a glass of Torrontes or Malbec. Or yerba mate, even. :tmi:

I used a drop box in the end, but it's not a permanent solution, especially if I forget and spring clean my drop box ... Jem
