I just read this online at Time :

"Meanwhile, the police released Garretson, their only suspect, for lack of evidence, and were guarding a Polish emigre who claimed to know the identity of the killer or killers."

    I read that at  http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,898524-3,00.html

Who was this Polish emigre ?  I had not heard or read that before.  Obviously, they didn't know
the killers identity or did they ?

That would be Witold K, Brian..

Have read over and over that Witold thought he was a target since he was supposed to be at Tate residence that night - (along with a hundred others) no really - supposedly he was flying out to the coast and lost his luggage and was held up in NY - I think.

I've always thought this might be one of the reasons that Voytek was on the sofa - I think he might have been waiting for Witold's call for him to come from LAX or a call as to when he would be arriving.

Maybe he and Jay were waiting for whatever Witold might have had in that luggage - IMO - Voy says "What time is it" first - it was dark (I think) and perhaps he thought Tex was coming in bringing his friend - or there to wake him up on Witold's behalf.

Something we'll never know - just what story Witold has in his fictional novel that is really quite good -  actually a very talented man in so many respects - his paintings sold at Southey's for a lot of jack recently -and he was a composer as well -

His widow is still alive?  Am I right - I think he was suffering from cancer and committed suicide in order to 'take charge of his destiny' but someone please revise this if I am wrong.

In his novel - damn I can't think of the name of it - he has a lot to say about Voytek knowing that someday the not-haves that hung on the strip would find their ways in to the homes of the 'haves' and steal and kill.  And yet he says Voytek drove great cars along the strip to pick up women and therefore was a target as one of the 'haves'.

Voytek called them 'the crab people' which is befitting since crabs scurry along the ocean floor in quest of whatever they can find - like scavengers.

In his novel he has Voy believing that when Parent was killed outside it was probably him - but he surmises that someone else was doing the shotting as this is while Voy was being held hostage.

    May be right -

The very odd thing is the police gave him access to the copious notes of Voytek including phone numbers and they went from house to house to look for the 'people' who had threatened Voytek whose numbers were in the notes.  Odd since Witold left his card at each residence - so it might have been a way to sell his painting to the rich haves - he was bold enough to sell to two policeman two of them - that's what Helter Skelter has to say -

Polish immigrants (as many immigrants) can be very self- serving - the want the riches they see we have here and want them now!  I'm not being racist I'm being truthful as one who has had to work in Prague a couple of times - (it's a cheap place to make films) -

And we know that bit fits Voytek and his quest for Gibby - and how he must have hurt her surveying other women with 'possibilities'.

It is noteworthy that both Frykowski and Sebring were fully clothed, when both Folger and Tate were not.  I imagine Sebring was likely planning to return to his own home, but why was Frykowski dressed and asleep on the couch?

    More unanswered questions...

That would be Jerzy K and Blind Date.

He is a proven fraud and half of what he said if not all of his growing up and being a Pole etc is a lie.

Search for Witold K on here and there are a few good posts and articles.

And as far as I know, it was Jerzy who wrote the book, not Witold.

    Witold paints etc.

So which one was supposed to be there that night - the fraud or the artist?  I'm still very confused - Eastern Europeans make my head swim -

If Jerzy wrote the book and he talks about being there that night then who is Witold - is he the artist that was living in the house Gibby rented?

IMO I think Voytek was a fraud so that makes fraud and fraud (two dreams met as my grandmother would say).

Same here about the clothes - two undressed women and two fully dressed me - one in the bedroom with an undressed former lover and one on the sofa with a current undressed or nightgown clad current lover in the bedroom -

When Sharon talks about Sexy little me and how she thinks nudity is great - then it wouldn't be unusual to be in bra and panties - but in front of someone you have lived with prior?  Oh well, those were some nude tines - I took my clothes off a lot too - but when I got married my husband put an end to that except in certain situations - and he would have had a fit if he had known I was in a bedroom mostly unclothed with a friend that had once been a fiance-lover -

I know that was a bit of contention in the press afterward and maybe rightly so - but if I looked as good as Sharon at 8 months pg - not many women do -

One of the things I love about Sharon is her inhibitions about her great looks - no arrogance - no seemingly awareness that she was the most stunning thing in the room full of other stunning actresses -

And it is Gibby to have on a puritanical nightgown like her ancestors who were Puritan - all clothes we see her in in limited pictures are scarfs dresses, chignons etc. almost dowdy clothing to see a woman at 26 years old - matronly.  I think that is so wonderful about her - that she had that wonderful reserve - she definitely wasn't an actress or a 'hippie' she seems 'over her head' at her sudden rebellion from parents and Radcliffe -

The fraud was supposed to be there.

Witold was living in the house of Abigail and Voytek. Appears in the one police report as handing over some pot or something he "found" in the house. Took off scared-said he knew who the killers were.

    Witold is a painter.

From Roman's poly, found here  http://truthontatelabianca.com/index.php?topic=3114.0:

    Like ROTC?

I assume he did it. Then he went to film school but it was after he left Poland already.  So he must have gone, ..if he already was an officer and didnt have to go through this stuff. . My next question...

Someone brought it to my attention that if you read the police reports, Voy supposedly was calling Witold at his studio or something around midnight and asking him to come over...but if it was around midnight, wasnt that the time that he supposedly was getting awakened from his slumber on the couch by Tex et al? How quickly can one pass out offa MDA? Doesn't it have speed like components in it?

Also, for being the supposed hug drug, there wasnt a whole lot of hugging going on...

In other words in the dark Voy might have said "What time is it?" thinking it was the painter bringing in the pot he had left at the other house  - didn't he also go to his studio that day and found a girl who spoke French (wasn't it some girl that Jay was dating?)  Plot thickins' - oh yeah, didn't they have an argument about something pertaining to a key?  A key of mj or just a key, I wonder - something about where he left the key -

Supposedly he knew someone that was a suspect that wanted to kill Frykowski?  He would have to get in line on that one - I think that applied to a lot of people.

Beausolieil keeps saying that one day when the truth be known it was all very simple - should the simplicity mean that 1.  Frykowski had burned someone?  2.  Someone thought there was something in the luggage delivered...3.  Was there something in the luggage?  Scanlan Moore mentions the forty large - what was the forty large he is speaking about that was in the trunks?

Very interesting bio and gallery work on Southeby's website - Witold K is a very good looking man according to his recent picture - if you like modern art he is ok - I do like his jewelry
