When tex cut a screen in the window.. How was this done? Was it not glass?

hi rapunzel, I believe it was a wire screen that is used to prevent bugs /moths etc entering when windows are left open.

It was very warm that night , A heatwave apparently. hope that helps. There is a photo of the said screen on this site somewhere.

No need for forgiveness or confusion , just ask, plenty knowledgeable people here I have found and the Cat herself is most helpful, :hi:

Tex went in the window where the Nursery was being painted. That's why the window was left open, wet paint and the heat. Didn't they get a fingerprint (Tex's) off the sill?

FB, the print of Tex -- "it was on the outside of the front door, 6 - 8 inches above the handle, near the edge, the tip of the finger pointing downward." -- Helter Skelter (soft -- pg. 455)........."The logical assumption was that Watson left his print while chasing Frykowski, Krenwinkel while in pursuit of Folger." (same reference).
