Really? Wondering and pondering the true motive for these murders to me is fascinating.

I'm sorry, totally gave the wrong impression with that statement.  I don't care why they happened in terms of any impact on the punishment or parole issues.  Whatever the motive the murders can burn in hell.

I'm very interested in continuing to try to sort out what the true motive(s) was/were.

No offense intended but why are there no pictures of Sharon and Steve Parent?

gerard, the reason why there are no pictures of Sharon and Steven is because these are pictures of the LaBianca crimescene.  This is under the category of "Waverly Drive", which is LaBianca territory.  Just thought I'd clear that up for you.  Its an easy mistake to make. :-*

I was just on another website called the 2nd Tate-LaBianca Blog or something like that, and there was some newspaper clippings of the Tate and LaBianca killings.  One was a big one about Tate and then in a smaller article of a couple of paragrapshs was the LaBiancas.  And why I let out a guffaw of laughter when I read the first line was that reporter said, "An elderly couple was found stabbed to death in their home.." or something to that effect.  ELDERLY COUPLE???????????????????????????!  OMG!!!  Rosemary was 1 or 2 years older than Voytek and Jay and I never read ANYTHING about calling them elderly.  Geez, what a slam.  I guess its always been that way, huh?  If you are over the age of 25, you are considered elderly????  I guess I've never thought that.  When I was younger, I never thought of anyone as old, unless they were in their late 60's on up.  Some people just need lessons on manners!!!!!!!!!! ;)

I found that bit rather interesting as well.  I enjoying finding either interesting morsels in the archives or strange misinformation.

I think you're referring to my blog: http://mansonmysteries.blogspot.com/2009/08/labiancas-garretson-sharon-tate.html
I don't think my buddy, Ms. Burb, has posted many articles.

I am still posting as well. Some shots, which are well known, I have been either saving to last or deciding whether to post them at all..

Wasn't there a different story from Tex and pat over who carved war on poor Leno? They both said they did it? ???

    Drug or inheritance/insurance money motive.

The "fact" that has always jibed with these theories for me is the part of, I think, LE's story that they drove around looking for ostensibly random victims that night for a long time, but then they stopped at a payphone and CM made a call.  After that they headed straight for Waverly.  If that actually happened, IMO the key to understanding the motive for this murder is finding out who he called.

I've always heard it was Patricia who did the carving on Leno.  However, I can't remember who put the knife in his throat.  I'm thinking it was Patricia, but who knows?  I'm having a senior moment right now.

On the photo of Rosemary's back, I am seeing a ring of "fork" marks/wounds going around her cheeks. Anyone else see that? Nobody to my recollection ever said the fork was in the bedroom. PK had the knife she bent, TW was called because they couldn't do it. He had the bayonet. Leslie was given the bayonet to "do something". When does the fork come into the scene?
  19. Bottledbrunette09 Well-Known Member

Good observation, freebird.  Looks like fork markings to me, too.  Maybe PK went in and stabbed Rosemary in the buttocks with the fork before she went in to do the same thing to poor Leno.

I can hardly believe that Tex did all this killing with the exception of Folger, even then PK says he had to finish her off. Grogan says he turned around and when he turned back Tex was on Shea stabbing him.
