Sue Bartell still lives there. At least she did a couple of years ago. I have a friend whose Mom lives there and has a hair salon so she hears gossip. Apparently "ex" family members occasionally come to town to visit. Makes one wonder how close these people still are. Really beautiful place. Coastal Redwoods and the river right there. FB
The article dated Monday January, 5th 1987 states how Charlie receives around 12 letter's a month. I have read he receives the most mail out of all the prisoners in the prison system, I have always wondered how true this is or is it just another false hood to sensationalize good old Charlie. Vince
He still receives quite a bit of mail in Corcoran. I asked the warden about that when I was involved in an investigation there. I have remained friends with several C.O.'s there, and they have said he is as popular there as when he was first processed there.
