It's interesting to note the chemical analysis report only shows a check for ethanol and no other chemical substances.

The shopping here of our stuff never ceases to amaze me. You can tell that it is taken by my scan job.

I wonder at what point in time the spinal cord was severed. One can only hope that it wasn't at the beginning and she was alive during most of this ordeal unable to move or defend herself. How horrifying.....and LVH and TW think they deserve their freedom?? I have not an ounce of compassion for their present situation. Sorry if that offends some of you but I just can't get past the callousness of the11 murders that we are aware of. I will never understand how anyone can think they should ever get out and please don't try to convince me that they should. We've all been down that road before and it leads nowhere. We agree to disagree on the freedom issue. . . . .

I stand corrected Mike. I didn't count the baby and although I believe Zero's death was murder it was never proven. I also think they murdered Hughes and the 3 teenagers at Barker but that is just an opinion.

Can you make a case for this, though? Starting perhaps with motive and opportunity? Adding some support in the shape of forensic evidence? And going a little beyond the impersonal 'they'?

Zero, no doubt in my mind, was murdered. Why, I am not sure but he seemed to be around during some car thefts etc. But then that really makes no sense, because the murders had already happened, and some car thefts were way below that on the narc scale I do believe.

He and Bruce got out of Inyo at the same time and within a few weeks he was dead.

Hughes, well, I think the poor man drowned. The coming and going of lawyers at the beginning of the trials was great, and to replace Hughes would have been nothing. It was said (Sanders or LeBlanc or something) that Hughes was the supplier or transporter of LSD to the ones on trial, but that alone really doesnt seem to make him a candidate for the offing. Unless he knew other stuff, which I guess died with him.

The three teenagers, that came from either Sadie or the Wabbit, and I tend not to believe that one. If there were more info I may ponder it for a quick minute. But to bury them so close to home makes no sense to me especially knowing that the remains of Shorty were hanging close by at that time. But then again, what are a few more bodies?

No, I can't make a case. I base this opinion on the fact that Hughes was seen in the company of 2 hippies (male and female) at Sespe (Sanders or HS, can't remember which). It would be helpful to read Hughes autopsy reports. Motive could be anything, Manson feeling slighted in some way or feeling that Hughes was working to hard for LVH and feared for himself. As for the "they", Bruce and Brenda were still on the lam. We don't know how many of the others were killers, we do know that some of them were very capable of doping burgers and pointing weapons at Presidents. Both acts are potentially fatal.

Cat's we discussed this before, but seems its slipped through the sieve I call my mind, but was Hughes drowned in a freak flash flood or exactly how was he drowned? And I know that his death was probably innocent, but can't help but think something fishy went on and we will never, ever know.

Hughes in the company of hippies? Hughes was a hippie! L.V.H. probably had him killed assuring herself the acquittal 6 years later. She and the entire Manson clan were so intelligent.

Who was Lefthanded among the LaBianca killers?

According to the autopsy report, 2/3 of the spinal cord was severed at the C2/3 level. It is unlikely that Rosemary would have been able to breathe because of this, so even if it was committed early on, she would not have been conscious for long. I agree with your sentiments entirely.

Thanks p70 and pele. Both nights they knew they were going to die, at least the Cielo victims were ambulatory. I can't imagine knowing that and not being able to move. All the more horrific....

Did I see something (11th page) where the original estimated time of death was 10:50 pm on August 10th (Sunday)?
Wow, CSI has gotten much better.

41 stab wounds on poor Rosemary alone and they want out?

Not to mention killing a pregnant woman and carving WAR on Leno

The autopsy-report starts with a wrong date; the 4th of August 1969. Little detail, but still.
And yes, these sick, cowerdly murderers should stay where they are until their last breathe.
