1) Bruce Davis admitted to Springer that he participated in the killin gof Shorty. This admission came up during a conversation in which Davis said that they were going to get Danny DeCarlo for testifying in the Hinman case. 2) Davis told Springer that Shea's arms, legs and head were cut off. Davis said that Clem buried Shea in different places so that he wouldn't be found. Davis stated that Shorty was killed because he was drinking too much and was getting too loose at the mouth while he was drunk and that if he talked too much about what was happening at Spahn Ranch it would get out and they would all wind up in trouble. Davis said that Shorty was "ratting them off", i.e., informing to the police.
